Required Documents

1. Please sign a written request stating your demand to renounce the Lebanese citizenship:
• at the Consulate General’s headquarter if applying in person.
• in front of a notary public for applications sent my mail.
2. The original Lebanese Passport with two copies of pages 1 to 6.
3. A power of Attorney granting a lawyer in Lebanon the power to complete the formalities with the competent Lebanese Authorities.
4. A prepaid registered self addressed return envelope.
5. Filled Renunciation of Citizenship Form (click here)
6. Fee: A money order payable to the Consulate General of Lebanon in Los Angeles for the amount of $350.00.

N.B.: In case of Renunciation of the Lebanese Nationality by decree signed by H.E. the President of Lebanon, the only way to recover the Lebanese Nationality of Origin will be by residing for good in Lebanon.
